The work of Karl Hollinger is a collaboration of two artists, Mindy Karl and Dale Hollinger. They are extraordinarily symbiotic in their formations and methodology. The two women originally shared the same studio space as individual artists and quickly found their creative potential when they began to collaborate on one piece.
For Karl Hollinger, their art is a conduit for thought and emotion. The First Amendment flows freely through their pieces, as well as humor and touches of all of the eccentricities of life. Color and consistency complete their inspiration. Look into each piece and you’ll find many underlying and enigmatic messages.
The mixed media consists of various inks, oils, acrylics, handmade papers, acetate, varnishes, micro fine glass, newspaper, old books, photos, documents, digital arts and found objects. Almost nothing is safe when creation is taking place.
Dale Hollinger studied photography at UCLA. She majored in art and photography at California College of the Arts and Crafts in Oakland California. Mindy Karl majored in fine arts at the University of South Florida.
