212GALLERY represents a diverse program of contemporary artists working across media and operates an Art advisory and curatorial consultancy. Working internationally from Aspen since 2005, 212 promotes and cultivates cutting edge contemporary art, including street art, outsider art and abstract minimalism, with an emphasis on West Coast (i.e. California-based), NYC and European-based artists.
The gallery partners annually with Christies Auction House and the Warhol Foundation for special pop-up events, supports local charities and arts institutions and has earned a reputation for excellence and integrity over the last decade.
Katie Kiernan - Founder & Managing Director
Since opening 212GALLERY in 2005, Katie Kiernan has advised on multi-million dollar acquisitions and sourced seminal paintings, sculptures and photographs for her elite international clientele in Aspen, Hong Kong, New York, Los Angeles, Miami, London and beyond. Through her network of established artists, international art dealers, and auction house specialists, Katie orchestrates seamless collections of modern and contemporary art, as well as rare antiques, African artifacts and unusual and extraordinary design accents. Katie’s exhibitions have been featured in publications such as Art+Auction, The New Yorker on-line, and her close personal relationships with senior directors in major auction houses and blue-chip international galleries allows her access to the world’s most sought-after artworks.
Kate Redwing - Executive Director
Kate began her career in New York City, where she was the assistant to a curator of the Guggenheim and the Chelsea Art Museum. From this intimate vantage point, she developed an acute knowledge of established and emerging artists. She has been a regular attendee at the Whitney Biennial along with Art Basel Miami, Scope and NADA Art Fairs. Kate studied French and Art History at Hobart & William Smith Colleges in Geneva, New York.
